Engaging our stakeholders

We believe that effective stakeholder engagement is crucial to the success of our programme. We are committed to fostering open communication and collaboration with all our stakeholders through various initiatives.

At the Transpennine Route Upgrade, we’re committed to keeping our stakeholders informed, involved and up to date every step of the way. We do this through a regular programme of engagement including monthly newsletters, in-person meetings and dedicated updates tailored to your area or interest.

Our Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Angeliki Stogia, leads this work and is always keen to hear from you. If you have any questions, would like to set up a meeting, or want to know more about our plans, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Stakeholder team at TranspennineEngagement@networkrail.co.uk.

Angeliki joined the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) in spring 2025 as Head of Stakeholder Engagement. She leads the programme’s work with communities, local authorities, elected representatives and partners—helping to build trust, understanding and support for this major investment in the North’s railway.

With over 19 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement and communications, Angeliki has worked across regeneration, transport, energy and infrastructure, and brings deep insight into the workings of local and regional government. She has held senior roles both in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and on regeneration programmes across the North West.
