In order for us to run fully electric trains on the Transpennine route, we need to install our overhead line equipment. This often means having to make bridges higher so we can fit the electric lines underneath. That’s exactly what we’re doing with Sunnyside Lane Bridge.
To help our team finish the electrification work as quickly as possible, we’ve set up a temporary compound next to the road bridge. We’ll remove this when they’re finished. Take a look at how our team is getting on.
