⚠️ Upcoming closures and
changes to services

Upgrading the Transpennine main line is a huge job. This means that, at times, we’ll need to close certain parts of the railway so we can make it more reliable and greener. When this happens, we’ll get you to where you’re going on a diversion route, or on a high quality bus or coach with comfy seats.

Here are some upcoming changes to services that might impact your journey:
Saturday 23 December 2023
Trains between Leeds and York

What’s Happening?

From approximately 20:15 the line between Leeds and York will be closed. This is to enable us to start work to replace a railway bridge over the Christmas holiday.

How are train services affected?

  • Trains will be diverted between Leeds and York, extending journey times by up to 20 minutes.
