Nestled in the foothills of the Pennines, Mossley Station has served the local community since the mid-19th century. Its heritage is reflected in its historic station buildings, while its location provides an essential link between Manchester and West Yorkshire. Managed by Northern, the station is set to benefit from modernisation works as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
Currently, Mossley Station is undergoing a Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) process to obtain permission to carry out the proposed upgrade, therefore the final station design and further information will be provided as the process progresses.
