Serving the village of Slaithwaite since the Victorian era, this station has seen generations of passengers pass through its platforms. While the surrounding landscape has changed, its role in connecting local communities remains strong. Northern operates the station, which is now set for major improvements under the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
Currently, Slaithwaite Station is undergoing a Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) process to obtain permission to carry out the proposed upgrade, therefore the final station design and further information will be provided as the process progresses.
